They discuss the world of Microfinance and the unique investment products for socially responsible economic development, offered by Microplace. Ashwini Narayanan is the General Manager of MicroPlace, a social business focused on alleviating poverty through investments in Microfinance.
Ashwini was one of the early members of the MicroPlace team and has spent the last two years translating the vision of MicroPlace into reality. She has over 10 years of experience in designing, building and managing products in the e-commerce and payment industries. Before joining MicroPlace, Ashwini worked at PayPal as Director of Financial Services for North America. Prior to PayPal, Ashwini was Sr. Director of product strategy at CyberSource before which she managed InfoSpace’s product portfolio focused on merchant ecommerce products and payment processing platforms.

Ashwini has an undergraduate degree in Physics, a diploma in computer science and an MBA from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. Ashwini is an avid reader and swimmer and dabbles in an eclectic range of activities outside work that have recently included yoga, dancing, piano and courses in psychology and philosophy.
